After spending 20 years with Union Carbide Corporation (UCC) in various supervisory and management positions, John founded DLS in 1985. Inspired by personal family medical history, John traded his Industrial Engineering degree for vigorous involvement in wellness and prevention.

Chief Executive Officer
A member of the DirectLabs family since 2005, Leigh is responsible for the consistent improvement of our processes and customer service. She works closely with customers and clients to meet their needs. Active in several charities, and a Realtor prior to DLS, Leigh ensures seamless execution of day-to-day operations.
Dr. Anna Davis,
Medical Director
As principal of The Clinic for Integrative Internal Medicine, Anna works to help the body restore and repair itself, naturally. She uses a blend of twenty years’ practice in internal medicine and continuous participation in advanced integrative training to help her patients understand and participate in the treatment process.
Dr. Sherri Tenpenny,
Medical Director
Founder of OsteoMed II, a clinic established to provide the best of integrative medicine in Cleveland, Sherri is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Her special interest is women's health, and she is an internationally known expert in the problems associated with vaccines.
Dr. Brian Popiel,
Medical Director
Brian is a licensed family practitioner with special training in sports medicine, nutrition, pain management and IV nutrition. He oversees diet and supplementation programs, hormonal testing, biochemical testing, athletic recovery programs and IV therapies.
Barry Bennett,
Ph.D., Medical Consultant
Barry is a certified nutritional consultant, in private practice for more than 25 years. He has been a consultant for Immuno Labs for five years, and has been working with biochemical and nutritional testing results for more than 20. As a DLS consulting practitioner, he offers dietary and nutritional supplement advice.
Joseph M. Quashnock,
Ph.D., Clinical Lab Consultant
Joseph is a licensed and board certified (ABB) medical laboratory director with more than 20 years’ experience. He has additional expertise in quality assurance and regulatory affairs including the interpretation and application of HCFA, CLIA, OSHA, NRC, DOT, and EPA regulations to medical facilities.
Dr. Hector V. Otero,
Ph.D., Clinical Lab Consultant and Laboratory Owner
Hector has over 35 years experience as Laboratory Director for two major national and several local laboratories in Houston, Texas. He has owned, operated, directed and sold four reference laboratories. Currently, Hector is the owner of Singleton Scientific Laboratory, Inc. with additional focus on quality assurance and clinical testing approval for other medical facilities according to CLIA, OSHA, Medicare/Medicaid and Interstate Licensing Regulations. Hector is a certified Laboratory Director by H.E.W.
